    Great points and examples here.

    It is way too easy to get focused on your tactical challenges and forget about the big picture. I think a lot of this goes back to really planning your firm's value and positioning from the start (baking it in) vs. constantly changing. If your employees don't know who you are and where you are going, it will be impossible for them to really follow "Commander’s Intent".
